Our Haven has been super busy with new incoming arrivals and the night and day work that goes into running a shelter.
In care we currently have Eastern Grey Joeys , Wallaby’s And a Wombat named Wally. We are on call 24/7 for any rescue needed locally for animals such as possums, koalas and birds. Basically anything that needs our help. We pour our heart and soul day in and day out to ensure that these amazing orphaned animals will get the care they need.
It’s absolutely amazing the reach our posts from either our Facebook page or our Instagram has gotten. Even an article in our local Newspaper regarding the new reduced speed limit into the town we are situated has been an amazing insight into the work we do here.

THEN this morning Herald Sun posted an article about this video. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/a-roo-whisperer-has-been-captured-feeding-joey-kangaroos-at-our-haven-wildlife-shelter-in-victoria/news-story/1005395698334fcdeee38d75e16f21cd?utm_content=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=EditorialSF&utm_source=HaraldSun&utm_medium=Facebook
This is everyday, four times a day at Our Haven Wildlife Shelter. It’s incredible that these news articles and social media outlets are able to help us gain the support and interest from everybody around the world. It’s certainly been overwhelming but appreciated from all of us here.
We are totally SELF FUNDED and rely heavily on donations and fundraisers to help continue what we are able to do. There’s a lot of work behind the scenes away from the cuddles and feeding. The late nights staying up with the sick babies, the making of the 24 hour milk supply with more than 100 bottles being made, the trips to the vets, the 24/7 call-outs to anywhere that’s needed and continuous work it takes to look after 26 amazing wildlife animals. If you are interested we have a link to donate on our site which would be appreciated so much.
