Our Supporters
We are so thankful of the following organisations, people and businesses, who support us financially, or with donated services and products.
Our work would not be possible without them!
Gippsland Veterenary Hospital
Gippsland Veterenary Hospital for the amazing support and advice they provide to us. Always going above and beyond, we couldn’t be more grateful.
Picnic Point Farm
Supplying our furry mob with discounted apples is a huge help to us and much loved by our roos and wallabies alike. Picnic Point Farm is an apple orchard located on the banks of the Mitchell River in West Bairnsdale, East Gippsland. They do farm gate sales direct to the public from the Farm Shed in Drevernmann Street, selling mainly apples and apple products, but als cherries, rspberries, asparagus and rhubarb when in season. You can also shop online for local, regional and metro locations. (click the apples to visit their webiste)
Kelly Ryner is a Wildlife Conservation Artist with a bit of experience raising orphaned roos herself, so she totally understands our challenges. Kelly is actively pursuing fundraising opportunities for us and has not only donated our new website to us, but has also committed a portion of the profits from her artwork & book sales to Our Haven Wildlife Shelter. So when you are looking for that perfect wildlife portrait, check out her website at www.kellyryner.com
Kelly is also the illustrator and author of the very popular children’s book: Maxie Roo is Just Like You! designed to encourage children to care about our wildlife and more specifically connect with our beloved kangaroos. Check it out!
Jacqui Halpin & Sandra Severgnin
Jacqui Halpin & Sandra Severgnini Authors of “Where’s Lucky” A percentage of the income for the book “Where’s Lucky” is donated to Our Haven Wildlife Shelter in Victoria, Australia who were the inspiration for this story. Where’s Lucky, the orphaned swamp wallaby, has a knack for getting into mischief. While Theresa and Tony care for him, and their mob of other joeys, Lucky gets into lots of places he should not be. Where will they find Lucky next? An amusing tale about the delights and difficulties of caring for orphaned joeys.
Theresa and Scruff were given the opportunity by Animal Planet’s Dodo Heroes tv show to introduce Our Haven Wildlife Shelter to the world. The episode was filmed and aired in 2019 before they moved to their new property now situated in an ideal location for soft release of their roos, but it’s a great way to get to know them both. Available for streaming now on Apple TV and Foxtel.
